The ceramic industry's
leading clay suppliers continue to pour into Morbi
2006, with the latest booking of 18 sq metres coming
from Italy-based, Ukrainian clay supplier Mineraria
Sassolese. The Gujarat region has become increasingly
important for the company in the last couple of years,
and with the expected continued expansion in terms
of Mineraria Sassolese has been established in 1985
and deals with raw materials for the ceramic industry.
It offers the best white clay - extracted from the
Ukrainian mine of the VESCO Joint-stock company -
used as a main element in porcelain stoneware production,
along with first level sodium-potassium kaolin and
feldspar. This product is featured by the low iron
and titanium content, by a higher mechanical resistance
of the green body and low melting point.
