The ceramic industry's leading clay suppliers continue to pour into Morbi 2006, with the latest booking of 18 sq metres coming from Italy-based, Ukrainian clay supplier Mineraria Sassolese. The Gujarat region has become increasingly important for the company in the last couple of years, and with the expected continued expansion in terms of Mineraria Sassolese has been established in 1985 and deals with raw materials for the ceramic industry. It offers the best white clay - extracted from the Ukrainian mine of the VESCO Joint-stock company - used as a main element in porcelain stoneware production, along with first level sodium-potassium kaolin and feldspar. This product is featured by the low iron and titanium content, by a higher mechanical resistance of the green body and low melting point.
